Cosmopolitan 30" Picture Light In Various Colors

Clean, minimal form and design define this table lamp, making it a suitable modern accent for any living room, bedroom or workspace. This contemporary lamp also works well in a commercial setting restaurant, retail, or office space. Adjust the amount of light by turning on just one or both of the double bulb fixture. This Michele Varian pendant light is made by traditional artisans in Sarajevo which has had a metalworking craft tradition going back over four centuries when it was part of the ottoman empire. Sheets of copper are spun on a lathe and drawn up by hand around custom-made wooden and metal molds to make them perfectly spherical.

Semi is a unique pendant lamp, based on two quarter-circles put together, back-to-back. With its its distinctive arch-shaped, enamelled metal shade, lightness of form and unique, timeless design, the elegant Semi lamp achieved great success in the 1980's and became, at that time, the best-selling Danish design, gaining worldwide recognition and iconic status The Semi lamp was designed in 1968 as a product of the creative partnership between two architecture students, Claus Bonderup and Torsten Thorup. Reacting against the 'cosy era' that was dominating Denmark at the time, Bonderup and Thorup wanted to create a lamp that incorporated sharp, clean lines and a geometric shape. Their design was submitted for a competition at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts School of Architecture and won first prize.

The Fleurish Minor Chandelier is a modern, organic mobile-style lighting fixture designed by Michele Varian and built in our NYC studio. It is solid brass construction with glass and crystal accents, mimicking flora from Japanese imagery.
The fixture is kinetic and moves like a mobile or a plant blowing in the wind. Inspired by organic occurrences in flora – honeysuckles, stamen, water lilies, thorns, knobby branches, and the grotesquely pretty twisted-ness of an olive tree trunk—the elements of the three-tier chandelier engage every plane of vision. The solid brass armature individually connects to its fellow tiers with another solid brass rod through swivel hooks, allowing for rotation of each arm, separately.
Arm lengths are customizable, though connective rod placement and ornamentation is set to ensure consistency of balance. Each individual ornament is hand-constructed and hangs like a ripe fruit, or bursts off of the light like a plume of seeds disseminating into the air. The designs include glass crystal 'droplets', cocoon-like brass orbs, solid brass 'thorns', tiered miniature sculptures, and curled brass 'stamens'. Each functions as both counterweight and contributor to its artful, refractive presentation.

Winkel W127 is manufactured of solid fiberglass reinforced biopolyamide that is based on over 60 per cent renewable material derived from castor oil. Like any kind of thermo- plastic, it is recyclable. The mechanical solution is based on micro gas springs, widely used in the automotive and electronics industries. The gas springs have a lifespan of more than 50,000 compressions and give exceptionally good movement patterns. The shade is adjustable for universal direction of the light. The light technology is based on a highly energy-efficient multi-chip LED solution. This consists of a cluster of diodes instead of several separate diodes. By using multi-chip LED, so called multi-shadows are avoi- ded and a very even light pattern is achieved. The diode is cooled efficiently with an advanced cooling construction. The fixture is equipped with both a reflector and a diffuser lens, to give optimal light distribution and light quality. In addition, there is a glare protection system to minimize both direct and indirect glare. Winkel w127 is equipped with a seamless dimmer that is operated by an IR-switch; a built- in timer automatically turns the lamp off after five hours.
