Lola is the latest lamp for LZF designed by long-time collaborator Ray Power. Showcasing Power’s ability to create imaginative three-dimensional forms, Lola is a conical lamp with an intricate geometric pattern. A veritable labour of love, Lola’s shape went through many iterations, drawings and prototypes. The end result is, without doubt, a marvel of lighting design.
A particularly piquant Spanish name, Lola is very much alive, sensuous and intriguing. In a domestic or contract setting, Lola is a lamp that attracts and pleases the eye. Highly original and truly sophisticated, Lola’s complex veneer construction is both accentuated and softened when illuminated. Available in a number of sizes and LZF’s range of natural wood colors, Lola is stimulating, fascinating, arresting and sparkling: an especially piquant light.

Care:
LZF's eco friendly patented wood veneer finish timberlite® protects your veneer from breakages and allows for easy cleaning. Depending on the type of lamp use a feather duster, soft cleaning cloth or damp cloth for cleaning. On their the more delicate shades, made from wood strips, a feather duster or an air blower is preferable. In their more solid shades a damp cloth may be used. Clean only the flat surface of the veneer with the cloth avoiding moisture contact along the edge of the veneer. Avoid direct sunlight or strong indirect sunlight on the fixture. Exposure to the sun changes the color of the wood. Please read all their instructions and recommendations on the use and care of the fixtures.

The Bagobo O pendant by Ay Illuminate is produced in the Philippines by tribes scattered along the desolate eastern coast of the Davao Gulf where ages ago new migrants mixed with the native population to form the community Bagobo, its name derived from the words bago, meaning new, and obo, meaning growth. Made of bamboo over which a handmade paper shade is fitted, the Bagobo O comes in small, medium and large sizes. All of the materials that make up this pendant are natural, and it is “handmade” in the truest sense of the word. In London during the swinging sixties, a certain supermodel made her mark on the British capital and then set about taking the world by storm! The counter opposite of her waiflike figure, the Twiggy Egg pendant gleans its name from the material it’s made from rather than its shape. The braided bamboo fixtures, in brown or natural, filter the light emitted through its central shade to cast playful patterns on surrounding surfaces. Ay Illuminate’s design team, Ay Lin Heinen and Nelson Sepulveda, work with artisans to dream up these luminous creations.
