The Flora modular sofa is inspired by the natural shapes of vegetation and how petals of flowers grow in organic ways. With this concept in mind, the Spanish design studio Yonoh wanted to develop a modular sofa series with the outlines of a petal flower. Designed perfectly while staying organic and soft shaped. A continuation of Neri&Hu's exploration of an expressive tectonic language, the sofa's main supporting element is a traditional wood joinery assemblage of stacking members in the X, Y, and Z-axes, pinned together to form a structural base. The cushioned seating utilizes memory foam for comfort while maintaining clean, firm lines.
