PK33 Stool may look like a simple ottoman or footstool, but its minimalist charm and effortless cool have made it a design icon. The stool draws on construction techniques from the PK71 nesting tables and the PK80 daybed, but still has its own strong, unique expression.

Born in sterVr, Denmark in 1929, designer Poul Kjaerholm began his career as a cabinetmaker"s apprentice in 1948. He studied at the School of Arts and Crafts in Copenhagen, graduating in 1952, and subsequently taught there until 1956. He was a lecturer at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1959, head of the Institute of Design in 1973, and became a professor there in 1976.
Kjaerholm"s furniture designs were characterized by a simple aesthetic that stripped away ornament in favor of clean lines and materials-based beauty. He used steel frames extensively in his work, often in combination with natural materials such as wood, cane, and leather, and was a strong proponent of industrial production.
Kjaerholm designed dozens of chairs and tables , including the iconic PK22 and PK24 chairs, and E. Kold Christensen and Fritz Hansen produced several of his designs. His myriad awards include the Grand Prix at the Milan Trienale (in both 1957 & 1960) and the Lunning Award (1958). Kjaerholm"s designs are in the permanent collections of major museums across the globe. In 2006, he was the subject of a major retrospective at Denmark"s Louisiana Museum of Modern Art.

Introducing Patch, an extendable dining table that melds minimalist form with a user-friendly design.
Determined to create a table that would suit a modern family's myriad needs, designer Hee Welling made multiple prototypes before he was satisfied. The result was Patch, an extendable dining table that employs a butterfly extension technique to provide seating for more people.
The Danish concept of 'umage' inspired Welling throughout the design process. Translating as “making a bit more effort,” this mindset meant that every aspect of Patch's design was considered to provide optimal practicality.
The minimalism of the table's wooden base and smooth laminate tabletop is offset by a highly functional design. Patch comes as a knock-down so that it can be easily assembled within a few minutes. Once constructed, it is firmly held together by small metal fittings on each leg that locks the table together. In addition to providing stability, these metal patches offer a subtle contrast of materials against the table's solid wooden frame. A further point of interest is added by the drop-shaped curve of the legs, which, despite their slimness, boast hidden depth to increase their strength and stability.
"Often when you have these types of table there's a lot of compromise during development," Welling notes. "But I really made a lot of effort to do things as well as possible."
Raised in the Danish countryside, Welling's lifelong appreciation for the outdoors can be seen in his fondness for natural materials. This translates to all aspects of his creations, resulting in a simple and honest minimalism that brings a striking visual identity to his pieces. In addition to being exhibited at fairs and museums worldwide, his products can be found in a diverse array of interiors, from the Oslo Opera House to Australia's parliament.

Made from stained ash, Rén’s tables and chairs take this distinctly Nordic philosophy and incorporate craft techniques and aesthetic detail from the design traditions of Japan and China, resulting in a collection that, although inspired by a particular place and time, is both international and ageless in its scope.

With lots of different variations a table from the Point series can give many architectural expressions. The Point tables are available in black/white laminate, ash, oak and walnut. Each wood and treatment with an expression of its own.

Table tops in Carrara Marble, Black Marquina or Green Indio will exhibit natural variations in terms of colour, drawings and patterns characteristic for each type of marble. As for Carrara Marble, small cracks can sometimes be found on the polished surface. This phenomenon known as “taroli" is a natural characteristic of the stone, which cannot be eliminated completely.

Jean Prouvé developed the Compas table in various models around 1950, applying the construction principles that he is known for. All share elegantly splayed, narrow legs in metal, a formal reminder of a compass – in French, “le compas”.
The oiled solid wood table tops give Compas Direction an individual touch. With its compact dimensions, the table is ideal for the contemporary, largely paperless, home office, where it cuts a fine figure.
