Bolet Comestible Dinner Plate

Ideal for serving fresh baked breads or dessert, the plain porcelain side plate is classic and elegant in soft white and finished with a high gloss glaze. Suitable for intimate gatherings in your home or for commercial use.
Motivated by being able to infuse more character into each piece through the hand-crafted process, sculptor and designer Julian Sainsbury set up his own artisan workshop in 2013. Some of his pieces are made by hand on a jolley machine, a device that forms clay into a spinning mould; while others are hand thrown on a potter’s wheel. The porcelain used is a beautiful soft white and preferred for it’s strength and durability. The strength comes from firing it at an extremely high temperature. Julian’s design style is utilitarian but his ceramics boast with character and charm.

Perles Soup Plate

A perfect size rice bowl from Marui Seito. Marui Seito is a third generation Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) producer based in the town of Shigaraki in Shiga Prefecture.
Situated right below Lake Biwa and close to Kyoto, Shigaraki is one of the oldest pottery producing places in Japan, and its pottery producing history dates back over 1,200 years. Shigaraki-yaki (Shigaraki ware) is known as one of the six ancient kilns in Japan, and in 1976 Shigaraki-yaki was designated as one of Japan’s Traditional Handicrafts by the Japanese government.

Marina Side Plate

Since 1826, Herend porcelain has produced one of the most outstanding and distinctive hard-paste porcelains in the world. Each piece of Herend porcelain is entirely hand painted, and many items are made by hand. Located in the village of Herend, Hungary about 56 miles west of Budapest, the manufactory employs 220 potters to sculpt each piece and 400 artists to hand paint them.
With thousands of different shapes available, no other porcelain manufacturer comes close to providing the range of patterns or items as Herend. The shapes include platters, coffee and tea service pieces, trembler cups, tureens, trays, egg cups, napkin rings, vases, cachepots and lamps, as well as many other pieces.
