Are you familiar with pre-baffled fabric? Neither were we when we started developing the Launch Pullover two-and-a-half years ago. The beauty is in the construction of the fabric at the mill level, to support the eventual 800-fill-power goose down insulation. The baffles that contain the down are woven into the fabric itself, so there is no need for exterior stitching, keeping the surface of the fabric completely smooth. This process also means down feathers will not leak through needle holes in the seams, as often happens with traditional down jackets. The matte-finish, gorgeous-to-touch, nylon-and-spandex blend has tremendous stretch and ease of movement. All this is to say, the water-resistant Launch Pullover is the lightest, most stretchy, goose-down sweatshirt we could make.
And the incredible breathability of this fabric makes it easy to wear without overheating. Adding to the simple silhouette is a stretch-nylon binding at the sleeve-cuff openings and hood opening. There are also kangaroo hand pockets, with a hidden phone pocket on the left side (because the small details matter, too). Prepare for this to be an instant classic, a perennial in AETHER’s lineup for years to come.
