"This is a more Earthy, somberish painting. Its name is from a line in a Ferlinghetti poem. It was painted one rainy Autumn. These lines are agile meditations, casually referencing 'string theory'. There are so many variations of the earth colors here, A lot of what I am engaged with while painting is the exact rightness of a color. As a person with an atypical brain, and is common in the autistic & others in what we consider to be in states of heightened sensitivity, there is an ability to see the difference hundreds of colors. I used to get upset if a print wasn't exactly the color I had painted until I realized that, for most people, it's just "green' or "brown". Some people hear many tones and sounds, and some can taste every nuance of food. This painting is about BROWN. "
