12" diameter. Semi-matte white glaze with black underglaze accent on iron-rich red stoneware clay.
This platter is slump-formed on the bottom of my favorite vintage chapati bowl from India. The clay reflects and retains each unique mark and irregularity, freezing in time it's love-worn use.
Unique and well-designed by Houston ceramicist Jessica Phillips, known as They Named Her John.
