A design icon by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, the Arco floor lamp has been in continuas production since it was first released in 1962. Featured in movies and TV shows ever since, this impressive floor lamp features premium materials an an impressive silhouette.
The Flos Arco Floor Lamp features a beautiful Carrera Marble base, which features beveled corners designed soften the edges. The hole, strategically placed, is designed to allow the user to pick up and move the fixture.
Drawing inspiration from a street light, The Castiglioni brothers sourced commercially available parts and set out to design a piece that was technically innovative and visually appealing—a lamp that was functional but wouldn’t need to be stepped around. They finished it with a marble base, knowing that the same weight would take up less space, allowing the Arco to live in—not take over—the room it illuminated.
