The new K5 Side Table by Thomas Schnur is permeated with a constructive idea. With its light, organic shape, it can be used in no time at all. Some are reminiscent of an insect, others tend to be vertebrates. Both fit because the new K5 from Thomas Schnur clearly belongs to the category of likable accessories.

What comes so easily follows a long history. "The constructive idea should penetrate the piece of furniture". This design approach, which is reminiscent of the designer Jean Prouvé, also inspired Thomas Schnur. The young designer first visited the Cantilever Chair Museum in Lauenförde years ago. “Back then I was electrified by the pioneering spirit of Stefan Wewerka or Jean Prouvé.” For Schnur, it was both a drive and a task to develop something of my own. “The basic design idea is immediately apparent with the K5 table. The steel tube penetrates the room as a line, the two folded surfaces give the table a stand and hold its round top. "
Understanding furniture is a central element for Thomas Schnur. The trained carpenter is only convinced by what he can touch and test. “This down-to-earth attitude was given to me in my home village.” With K5, he developed a constructive piece of furniture that Tecta manufactures in three different sizes. A nesting table that is reminiscent of the shaped steel furniture by Prouvé and with its light, the organic shape can be used quickly. The steel body is welded, powder-coated, and is therefore suitable for both inside and outside.
