In the 60s Martin Visser designed several benches for the Spectrum collection. The BR 12 Sofa Bed is based on Martin Vissers BR 43 model, but has the same frame as the well-known BR 02 Sofa Bed. However, the BR 12 has fixed armrests and therefore a different use option. The BR 12 has the same lever mechanism as our BR 02 sofa, which can also be used to transform this sofa into a sofa bed in no time. The two armrests are fixed elements on the couch, which remain in the same place when used as a sofa bed. The lying area between the armrests is 192 cm. The BR 12 sofa has a round tubular frame, matte chrome or black epoxy coated, and many options for upholstery.
Due to the sleek shapes of the design, we recommend a stretchy fabric such as wool, with which the sleek shape comes into its own. The sofa can also be covered with leather. Because leather is not elastic, there is room in the upholstery. Where an elastic fabric returns to its original form, leather can form folds.
