The Muu Chair by BBB was designed in 2004 by Harri Koskinen, a versatile Finnish designer who has made a name for himself on the international design scene.
Harri Koskinen was born in Karstula in Finland in 1970 and studied at the Institute of Design in Lahti, and at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki.  In 1998 he set up his own studio called Friends of Industry which offers products and concept design, also developing exhibition architecture.
His creations are characterized by functionality and rigorous aesthetic criteria and comprise a wide range of different products – furniture, tableware, glassware, lighting, candleholders, and much more – created for world-renowned brands.  The designer is continually searching for innovative solutions that suit both the end-user and the manufacturer, always remembering that: “A designer should always bear the end price in mind. I believe it is important to achieve a good balance without sacrificing quality”. (Harri Koskinen)
The international success of Harri Koskinen began in 1996 with the Block lamp, now considered a classic of Scandinavian design and part of the MoMA permanent collection since 2000.
The Muu Chair, originally designed for Montina and now produced by BBB, an Italexpo brand, won the Compasso d’Oro award in 2004.
