"Windy City" designer and creative director Joe Freshgoods turns back the clock for a capsule collection inspired by how Chicago looked and sounded back in 1976. Best seen through the Nem Perez and Steven Caputo short, "A Shirt to Sleep In," the retro apparel and accessories bring life to an all-night party and provide the perfect complement to the accompanying far out, flashy versions of the Converse Chuck 70 Hi and Pro Leather Hi.
The Pro Leather High has its uppers now tweaked with floral embroidery and a luxe mix of both suede and velvet. The black base is then outfitted further with colorful patches, with each twill letter making up one part of the initials “JFG” . Patent leather stars brand the side, while glitter marks the outsole. "I wanted to approach the collection like a reader scrolling through a book about love, Black culture, soul, and art," Joe said in a statement. "Each piece is a history lesson."
