By Lassen is now relaunching Flemming Lassen's sofa design from 1935, naming it Vilhelm in honour of Flemming Lassen's father, the sign writer Hans Vilhelm Lassen. Vilhelm is a beautiful padded three-seater with the soft curves and taut expression that are typical of Flemming Lassen's design expression. The Danish architect and designer mastered the balance between the minimalist and the voluminous in designs that challenged conventions. A visionary modernist, Flemming Lassen created architecture and furniture that was ahead of their time.
The rounded corners frame the sofa perfectly and make it possible to place the sofa in the middle of a room. The shape invites flow and life to unfold around the sofa, and the stylish gentleman strikes a handsome figure, also when seen from the back.
