Norm Architects discovered the inspiration behind the Mass Light when traveling in cities such as Paris, Barcelona and New York. Fascinated by the street lamps, designers Kasper Rønn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen detached the street lamp from its original use and transferred the shape and combination of materials in order to design and outstanding, indoor pendant—the Mass Light. The pendant's well-known shape lets you focus on the beauty of the materials, its aesthetic structures and colors.

The Mass Light Pendant NA5 is available with a base in polished brass or Nero Marquina Marble with a 157" fabric cord. As the brass is polished, but not lacquered, the metal will darken and patina over time. The glass shade is made from mouth-blown and acid-etched opal glass. The pendants can also be purchased as a chandelier with a canopy for 9 pendants (Mass Light Chandelier NA6).
