First launched in 1957, L. Ercolani's Stacking Chair is as fresh today as it was then. The angled, tapered legs on these chairs allow them to be stacked as high as you can reach (though we recommend six to a stack). The curved horizontal back not only looks good, but provides a supportive sit combined with the molded sturdy ash seat. The Stacking Chair features the classic Windsor wedge joint, where the leg of the chair goes right through the seat; a wedge is then inserted into a cut in the leg, forming a remarkably strong joint. Sanded until flush with the seat, the joint provides a beautiful design element.
