The Pato 4 Leg Chair is a carefully crafted multipurpose chair in eco-friendly polypropylene. Stackable and suitable for outdoor use, this chair takes versatility to a whole new level. With the Pato series, Fredericia’s legacy of immaculate detailing and craftsmanship meets today’s industrial standard - the multipurpose plastic chair. The human-centred design is the work of Danish-Icelandic design duo Welling / Ludvik. Presented in 2013 after nearly three years of development, Pato sets a new standard for the execution and finish of polypropylene material. The series meets every possible contemporary demand for home, office, and public spaces and is available in upholstered versions for extra comfort and different visual statements.

Pato is produced in environmentally friendly polypropylene and steel. With it’s shell manufactured in Denmark and all other assembly in Denmark as well every chair is fully quality controlled during all stages of the manufacturing process.

The frame is made from quality steel and surface treated with solvent-free powder coating or chrome-plated with Chrome3. The chrome plating complies with lacquer coating standards (DS/EN ISO 1456), thus eliminating any risk of nickel allergy.

At the end of its life cycle, the chair can easily be disassembled for sorting at source. All components are 100% recyclable and can be incorporated into future furniture production.

The chair is tested for durability at the Danish Technological institute and passes at the highest level (Hard use in public spaces). The Pato Shell has a dense content structure that ensures a silky, yet resilient, surface. The bevelled edge ensures that the chair conforms optimally to the user’s body, so that the chair is comfortable even after prolonged usage.
