Their hand-crafted designs merge traditional Masaai beadwork techniques with a modern, timeless aesthetic. Each bag is handmade from ethically and locally-sourced Maasai cow leather. The beadwork is hand stitched by Maasai women who are able to stay at home with their families while crafting their incredible products. Abby Alley works exclusively with artisan cooperatives that provide fair wages, safe working environments, and work with ethically sourced materials. Through these selected groups, their artisan makers are paid three times the standard rate for their bag making and beadwork in the region. All Abby Alley artisans are also provided extra provisions for healthcare and transportation.
