Each bag is hand-embroidered with by refugee and low-income women artisans with a traditional Palestinian tatreez design, the "Road of Egypt" ("Tariq Masir" in Arabic) motif and crafted with locally sourced leather in Al Khalil (Hebron).

Darzah is a non-profit, ethical fashion brand specializing in Palestinian "tatreez" embroidery, a centuries-old art form, traditionally passed down from mother to daughter. Each piece is fair trade certified, hand-embroidered and handcrafted in Palestine’s West Bank. Darzah’s mission is to create economic opportunities for refugee and low-income women artisans and to celebrate tatreez embroidery and Palestinian cultural heritage. The word “darzah” means "stitch" in Arabic. Darzah is a women-run 501(c)3 non-profit social enterprise based in Dallas, Texas and the West Bank.
