Made by a small group of makers, the Son of a Sailor production team hammers, cuts, paints, bends and sews each product by hand. The majority of their natural, raw materials used across their products are responsibly sourced in Texas and across the United States. The vegetable-tanned leather comes from the Wickett-Craig tannery. This beautiful, heirloom-quality leather comes from North American cattle (a byproduct of the meat industry) and is tanned with only organic and biodegradable materials. Son of a Sailor is a women-owned company and pays fair wages to all their team members.
