Lan Yin Hua Bu , known in English as Nankeen and Blue Calico, is a natural indigo hand dye process that originated in China 3,000 years ago. Pieces were designed with rich symbolism conveying luck, prosperity, and fortune, and often given as gifts.
The vintage textile used to create this pillow was hand-dyed in Shanghai over 50 years ago. No two vintage pillows are exactly the same.
