Curator's Notes

These artisanal handle free cups serve everything from water to wine. The shapes are glazed in a soft white with subtle antiquing (Fuchi-Sabi) on the free-formed rim. Facets run vertically down the straight sides for an added textural element, while enhancing the grip.

The kiln makes porcelain pieces for daily life with its traditional white porcelain techniques using Amakusa Touseki (porcelain stone)
