Curator's Notes

Taking cues from the meaning of 'kobo' or ray, this coaster radiates beauty in its design and construction. The raised ray pattern collects condensation from a glass to keep the surface below clean and dry. The coaster has a nice height and weight and features a clear silicone footing, giving it substantial presence without slipping or damaging a table. As with all Futagami brass designs, this piece develops a handsome patina over time. We love how pretty our glasses look sitting on the coaster, as well as the reflections it makes on our tabletop.
