Curator's Notes

Having first collaborated on the interior design of Green Finger’s Setagaya store, Simplicity designer Shinichiro Ogata and plant artist Satoshi Kawamoto collaborate again on the book 'Nenge'. Motivated by the desire to adapt and redefine Japanese culture for the modern ages, the two designers develop the concept of contemporary flowers that fits neither the style of ikebana and Western floral arrangements. Printed in both Japanese and English, the book features lush photographs that illustrate what flower arrangements can be when you eschew conventions and traditions.
