I’m a big popcorn eater! Sometimes all I want is popcorn with butter and a dash of salt. That’s why it’s handy having these 100% pesticide free cobs in the pantry to satisfy those snack cravings especially since the shelf life for popcorn ears is basically indefinite ensuring fresh popcorn every time. There are a variety of methods you can cook it – on the cob in the microwave with a paper bag or my preferred method, loose kernels on the stovetop. Here are instructions for the latter method:

Stovetop Method

Remove all popcorn kernels from the cob into a prep bowl
Add a tablespoon of oil and 3 popcorn kernels to a large pot.
Cover with lid. Over medium-high heat cook until all 3 kernels pop.
Take the three kernels out of the pot.
Add the loose popcorn kernels to the pot.
Cover and take the pot off of the heat. Wait 30 seconds.
Put the pot back on the heat for around 2 minutes, shaking the pot periodically.
After around 2 minutes after the popping slows down, remove the pot from the heat.
Remove lid and allow the remaining kernels to pop.
Add melted butter, coarse salt and pepper if desired.
