Curator's Notes

This hand-carved bread plate is perfect for serving toast at any meal. Japanese Mountain cherry wood is intentionally selected by Ryuji Mitani as it's textured surface absorbs just the right amount of heat, without making toast go soggy. We love how the soft carved grooves catch light and look like an old tree's bark covering the surface of the plate.
