Description
The thousand-acre woods of a a million years ago, fragrant with towering pines, ancient firs, and northern spruces. The scent of crisp evergreens, rounded out by sweet balsam and mossy earth, filtered through a cool forest floor of soft conifer needles. The name Forest Primeval is a nod to Evangeline, the 1847 poem by fellow Mainer Henry Wadsworth Longfellow.
