Owl bookends featuring fluid lines and a warm patina. Made of Japanese nambu iron. Nambu Tekki cast iron was first made in the mid-17th century in the Iwate Prefecture of Northern Japan, a region known for high quality cast iron goods. The finish is the result of a Japanese lacquer glaze call urushi, used to prevent rust. Designed by Tadahiro Baba. Made in Japan.
