Based on the rituals of the proto-Mississippian death cult of the 1200s, Mississippi Medicine from D.S. & Durga is rich in dry red Virginia cedar with healthy doses of incense to help marry the wood to the pine. Filled out with an accord of wild viola and birch tar that adds a primal smoke, it has a certain mystery to it that almost smells ancient.
