Inspired by craftsman Niko Stathas' roots in the Cuyamaca Mountains of San Diego County, Opolis Wood Co. makes furniture and decor using sustainably-sourced materials. To create this basket, Niko starts with a rough cut of wooden segments, then uses a lathe to shape it by hand. It's intended for use as a planter when used with a pre-potted plant or plastic tray.
