A hybrid space that mixes office, showroom, caf‚àö¬©, co-working and event space in One, Menu Space required a chair that could suit a range of purposes. There is something virtually graphic about the way the slender steel frame grows out below the Studio chair’s seat and back, framing the molded shell in an airy design. The flowing lines stand out in an eye-catching silhouette, like a line drawing or a pictogram, just as the empty spaces between the frame and the back act to define the shape. The simple construction in veneer and steel tubing directs one’s thoughts towards older French factory chairs, giving Studio its industrial notes. The collaboration between Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas started with the development of a pendant for the Tirpitz Museum in Blåvand, a building BIG had designed for the Varde Museums. The Tirpitz Museum opened in 2017, and the edgy, galvanized finish of the pendant encapsulates the at once fine and robust architecture of the museum that melts into the dune landscape of West Jutland. The artistic and technical lighting collaboration between Louis Poulsen and BIG Ideas continued and has now resulted in the further development of the Tirpitz Pendant which works beautifully in any kind of interior. In the design of Keglen, the aim was to create a systematic design language that would provide the opportunity for a wide range of lighting typologies. In other words, Bjarke Ingels, Jakob Lange and the design team from BIG Ideas wanted to create a family of lamps with the same qualities and design details in various sizes, but each with their own unique personality. "The geometric and metallic shades have a soft, organic glass insert that resembles a drop of water. In the table and floor versions, the glass insert meets the lamp stem and flows organically around it like liquid exhibiting surface tension,” emphasize Jakob Lange and Bjarke Ingels. The architects strive to give others the tools to enhance their built environments. This is especially true of Keglen. They see the largest pendant working perfectly in different types of restaurant and meeting scenarios whereas the smallest pendant provides a more intimate light – either on its own or in particular formations."

Jean Prouvé created the first version of the Potence wall lamp in the 1940s for his own home in Nancy: a simple light bulb affixed to a long, pivoting steel bar, which is held by a steel wire. This functionalist, puristic design was soon produced in various sizes, with an added handle on larger models to facilitate the swivel movement. Petite Potence has similar proportions to the larger model Potence, while its compact dimensions are ideally suited to smaller interiors. The swing arm is 103 cm long, with a powder-coated finish in colours derived from the original hues used by Prouvé. The cable is sheathed in a high-quality textile casing, and the LED bulb is dimmable. The VL Ring Crown family derives from a lamp designed by architect Vilhelm Lauritzen for the Danish Broadcasting House in Copenhagen in the 1940s. The wall lamp and pendant versions, with the characteristic organic form, were put to good use at the Danish Broadcasting House. For this project Vilhelm Lauritzen also created the VL38 and VL45 lamps. The original VL Ring Crown never appeared there, but not long after, a Ring Crown based on the original drawings was launched. In 1947, the designer Finn Juhl, who worked for Vilhelm Lauritzen, used the VL Ring Crown as part of the interior design for the Danish porcelain manufacturer Bing & Grøndahl in Copenhagen. True to its original materials and design, the VL Ring Crown was reintroduced in 2019. It’s made of untreated, polished brass and with three, five or seven shades in glossy white, triple-layered, handblown opal glass. It was complemented by the wall lamps and pendant originally installed in the Danish Broadcasting House. The VL Ring Crown family brings a distinct and authentic touch to stylish interiors as well as a warm light to softly illuminate contemporary living.

The wooden stand that the metal tray rests on makes sure that air circulates around the pot so that it doesn’t leave any damp spots on the surface it stands on.

Designed in the 1950’s by Greta M. Grossman, the G-10 Pendant is another of her undiscovered designs. The pendant is characterised by its industrial look with a rough surfaced lampshade and clean lines, but at the same time holds a soft, feminine and elegant silhouette - which to some draw associations to a woman’s hat that adorned the streets in the 50’s. Always with a twist of humour, Grossman’s design encourages for playful and experimental installations in pairs or clusters. However, the pendant looks great as a single feature over a dining table as well. The G-10 lamp was produced, as many of Grossman's other work, in both America and her native Sweden, where this collection draws its features after the Swedish version. The lamp was Greta M. Grossman's 10th product for the Swedish manufacturer Bergboms, therefore the name G-10. Canopy included. The textile cord matches the shade.
