we started with a white denim with a classic faded red selvage ID from the legendary Nihon Menpu mill in Japan, then we gave it a light water rinse to soften the denim down just a touch.
the final result looks like a heavier weight denim but feels soft and comfortable.
THE FIT

harper has a high rise, relaxed hip, and a tapered leg with a beautiful "pitch": high in the front rise, yet even higher in the back rise.
note: it's a 100% cotton jean that will (and should) be snug to start. after a few days of wear, it will loosen up to fit you just right.

hang your jeans up at night on your denim hook. this method gives your jean breathing room, and holds the shape of your body. putting your jeans back on in the morning will become so easy.
hold out as long as you can to wash, but do not be afraid to wash. when you wash, turn your jean inside out. either soak your jean in the tub with a drop of mild detergent, or wash in the machine on cold. after, hang to dry. and don’t be afraid of a quick no- to low-heat tumble to soften her back up.

blake is a military trouser that was patterned from an old pant of Carrie's that has been worn down to the threads. sewn from a yarn-dyed Japanese cloth with a beautiful slub in the weave. could be mistaken for the original fabric used for military wear from WWII era.

our first women's selvage rinse in a sturdy, substantial, open-weave indigo-dyed fabric that feels like a heavier weight denim, but without the extra bulk. the shade is a deep indigo, giving it a more modern and subtle blue that deepens as it wears.
the result yields perfect fades with rich contrast, earned through time and circumstance.
note: indigo dye rubs off on light colored rabric, upholstery, and leather. be mindful of where you sit and what you wear with your jeans.

inspired by a decades-old, time-worn vintage pair from our archive. we worked carefully to develop a wash that perfectly reflects the rich patina typically achieved only through daily wear and regulated washing. with warm aged tones, berkley is finished by hand and sanded to reflect the abrasions and broken-down highlights that come with everyday living.

first off, grab your favorite t-shirt, a measuring tape, and find a flat surface to measure on. lay the tee out flat, smoothing out the fabric to remove all slack.
neck : the width of neck opening from left neck seam to right neck seam at the shoulder's highest point.
shoulder : the width from left to right where sleeve meets shoulder seam.
chest : the width of chest, starting 1" below the armhole.
sleeve : the length of the outside of the sleeve from shoulder seam to bottom of cuff.
length : the length from where the shoulder meets neck to the bottom of the hem, measured from the front of the garment.
