Arietta 4 Light Pendant

Description

In this striking Tam Tam variation, the central shade is surrounded by 5 similar satellites, which can each swivel 360 degrees to face downward, sideways or upward to reflect off the ceiling. Working with Barcelona-based Marset, the Berlin-based designer Fabien Dumas devised the kinetic fixture that comes in an array of color combinations to set off the center light in black or off-white. For soft, even illumination, an opalescent methacrylate diffuser covers the open end of each shade.

LP Centrum pendant is comprised of a series o f9 concave, circular rings surrounding a light source located at the bottom. The rings are supported by thing, chrome-plated vertical struts. The fixture provides 100% glare-free light. Its geometric design is based according to the mathematical lituus curve. All the illuminated surfaces are hit by the light at the same angle, casting the light into the room under the same conditions. This results in both horizontal and vertical light emission. LP Centrum was designed by Kurt Nørregaard in 1990, and was based on sketches by Poul Henningsen. Dot Atomium Pendant

The Louis Poulsen design team developed the Toldbod family based on the light distribution of the PH Ellipse reflector: the last street light concept by Poul Henningsen. The first introduction was the Toldbod 290 outdoor family in 1982. Following its success, the Toldbod Glass indoor pendants were launched. The metal pendants were added later and complemented by the four larger editions in 2019. The Toldbod pendant directs the majority of light downward, true to PH’s philosophy of shaping light to brighten spaces while never shining directly into people’s eyes. The matt, white-painted inside of the elliptical shade helps to create uniform light, ideal for both focused lighting and general room ambience. Louis Poulsen based its original Toldbod pendant on the philosophy that the simpler the design, the greater its flexibility. While the Toldbod’s soft yet precise form hangs quite comfortably on its own, the design also works beautifully in rows or clusters, either in a single hue or a mixed palette.
