The PD2 Floor Lamp is designed in 1955 by Barba Corsini to be part of the interior decoration in the attics of one of the world's most prominent buildings, La Pedrera in Barcelona. For the base of the lamp, inspiration came from the vaulted ceilings of La Pedrera, whilst the inspiration for the cylindrical shape and unique, perforated detail of the chimneys influenced the form of the lampshade. The PD2 Floor Lamp has a powerful simple character, which also is an apt description of Corsini's personal design style and fits well into any contemporary home. The textile cord matches the shade. The AJ lamps were designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1960 for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (Radisson Blu), and contributed to the total design concept of the hotel. Several of the hotel items have achieved iconic design status and among the lighting products the AJ lamps in particular have become world renowned. New color variants were introduced in connection with the 50th anniversary of the launch of the AJ family. The new colors have been carefully chosen in line with an updated Arne Jacobsen color scheme.

The Swedish designer Jonas Wagell designed the Peek lamp as a floor lamp to accompany a sofa he did a few years ago. The design is simplistic, humble and somewhat quirky. He explains, "I find that floor lamps are often big and quite dominant in interiors. I needed a lamp which was small and humble and simply "popped up" where you needed some light. The Peek lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a shade, which gracefully peeks over the back of a sofa or armchair. Although the form derives from a functional requirement I believe it's important that the lamp has personality and an expression. I strive to create simplistic objects and products that are intuitive and easy to understand. In essence, the Peek lamps only consist of three parts: base, stem and shade. The form is reduced to the necessities and the expression becomes iconic."

Koleman Collection Adjustable Task Floor Lamp

The iconic three shade system of the PH series of lighting fixtures was created in 1925/1926 by Poul Henningsen for an exhibition in Paris. The designer was determined to produce glare free lighting that was directed where it was needed most while creating soft shadows. The three shade system creates an even distribution of light as each shade reduces the light equally due to their distance from the light source. This is the first lamp to have been created using the scientific model of the logarithmic spiral as a basis for light distribution. There have been approximately one thousand variations of the original lamp with several floor, table, wall, and pendant versions currently available.
