Deviating from the typical bug-like designs of Serge Mouille, this lighted column brings new dimension to the designer’s family of products. As Mouille explored columns in his Post Black Shapes period, he stacked cylindrical shades interspersed around a central lighting element. The light’s intensity was made random and unique by alternating the shades up or down.
True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the Mouille factory and distributed around the world.

An icon of mid-century modernism, originally designed for Gaudi's La Pedrera building in Barcelona. In 1955, Barba Corsini renovated the loft space within Antonio Gaudi's famed "La Pedrera" building - transforming it from a storage facility into 13 beautifully-designed apartments. To complement the modernist architecture, Corsini custom-designed furniture for the space, including the now iconic Pedrera lamps and table. He leaned on Gaudi's architectural designs for inspiration - the base of the lamp inspired by the building's vaulted ceilings and the lamp shade referencing its chimneys. The lamp is made from powder-coated perforated metal - considered very avant-garde for its time. Today, the lamp is produced in Denmark by Gubi - a Copenhagen-based purveyor of historic and contemporary designs. Certified authentic and produced to the designer's original specifications.

Celeste Tripod Floor Lamp

The Swedish designer Jonas Wagell designed the Peek lamp as a floor lamp to accompany a sofa he designed a few years ago. The design is simplistic, humble and somewhat quirky.
He explains, "I find that floor lamps are often big and quite dominant in interiors. I needed a lamp which was small and humble and simply "popped up"Where you needed some light. The Peek lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a shade, which gracefully peeks over the back of a sofa or armchair."
The shape and silhouette of the Peek floor lamp was the basis for the smaller Peek table lamp. Use the floor lamp as a reading light by the sofa, or as ambient room lighting. The top end of the stem has a touch-sensitive dot that functions as a dimmer.
Jonas Wagell on the design: "Although the form derives from a functional requirement I believe it's important that the lamp has personality and an expression. I strive to create simplistic objects and products that are intuitive and easy to understand. In essence, the Peek lamps only consist of three parts; base, stem and shade. The form is reduced to the necessities and the expression becomes iconic."
