The Tribeca series is a mix of lamps, pendants and chandeliers, all inspired by the New York City glamour of the late 1930's. The name Tribeca refers to a very popular part of New York in lower West Manhattan - the Triangle below Canal Street.
The various shapes and designs in the Tribeca series were created in an inspiring creative process where Søren Rose Studio traveled the States, searching for beautiful old lamps and reusable parts. All the parts were separated, rated and arranged, and then assembled again, mix and match style, until these new and much bolder designs emerged. This feature, in combination with the elegant details and the glamorous feel, makes a Tribeca lamp a retro-chic piece of art.
Søren Rose is a talented Danish entrepreneur and designer with a past as a creative director within the web and photography industry. His dream of having his own studio came true in 2008; and today he lives in New York where he operates the highly popular Søren Rose Studio. Søren Rose explains "And here I am, 6 years later, with branches in Copenhagen and New York. My team encompasses an incredible set of skills within architecture, product design and manufacturing. We run a flat organisation; and, thus, if the junior designer has the best idea that's what we go with. We worship high quality and sustainable materials, and we approach our work with both traditional and innovative craftsmanship. This is the makeup and moving force behind Søren Rose Studio."
Harrison is the latest addition of the highly successful Tribeca family. It is of a significant design, and its appearance resembles a piece of art just as much as a chandelier. Five different light bulbs fits into the Harrison and the bulb type can be changed according to the user’s personal choice, which makes it even more interesting. It looks amazing above your dining table, but can of course be placed anywhere in home or office, as well as in bars and restaurants.

Bola Felt Pendant

Pendant Lights

Like lily pads floating on the water, the Nenufar Pendant floats on the air. The discs are all connected to the same stem while being separated so the emitted LED light is not broken by the other elements and a continuous ray of light is projected downward.

The Nenufar is in its element when grouped in a series and used to create light at different levels with varying number of discs. The discs are available in white or black and the polished chrome stem supports 1, 2 or 3 discs. Units come with white or black electrical cord, depending on color of the discs.

Please note, when installing a combination of different Nenúfars, taken into account will have to be the total power in watts, the power of the driver, and the number of wire entry points of the canopy. The total wattage of the selected Nenúfar elements cannot exceed the max wattage of the canopy's driver, and the number of Nenúfars installed in a single canopy cannot exceed the number of wire entry points of that canopy.

As if they were fashioning jewelry, designers Dylan Davis and Jean Lee treated the globe lightbulb like a jewel that they were fitting into a complementary "setting." Spun's options include a polished brass, blackened brass, or frosted glass shade for the surround. The white interior reflector adjusts to highlight the exposed bulb much like a precious gem. The glassmaker’s craft of using an “optic mold” to create desired interior textures and designs was invented by Roman glassworkers and flourished in Venice in the Middle Ages. Using this ancient “optic” technique, we house a glass bulb in a hand-blown oval diffuser. This diffuser is perfectly clear on the outside with a wavy horizontal pattern worked in its bulb-facing side. Flat Top 16-port Pendant

Description

There's a modern grandeur to Djembé, with its voluminous shape and outside appearance recalling the texture of a stone. Using a rotomolding technique allowed designer Joan Gaspar to conceive a fixture with vastly different surfaces. The spacious interior has a smooth white satin-finish to reflect the light that emanates from the lacquered grey aluminum diffuser. Notable Italian architect Vittoriano Viganó's 1951 suspension light features a memorable dual-stemmed theme—with a pair of the series' signature reflectors in opposing narrow and wide shapes. Both VV Cinquanta's movable arms and individual reflectors can be adjusted for a wide range of downward and upward lighting effects. With the spun aluminum reflectors in the original Viganò colors, the timeless design is produced in Italy and reissued by Copenhagen-based Astep.

Description

Marset's Pleat Box series, with model 13 a mini version, raids the digital toolbox for a design that's applied to one of the oldest heritage crafts—ceramics. A computer-generated fold in a piece of cloth becomes a striking creased ceramic shade, in a range of color options resulting from recycling different enamels. On the interior, a choice of either bright white or warm gold enamel creates a glittering effect. Pleat Box is also an exciting and first-ever union between between Xavier Mañosa, a master ceramicist from Barcelona, and the Mashallah design studio in Berlin with the Marset brand. Xavier's detour as an industrial designer informs his bold shapes while Mashallah, the brainchild of Hande Ak ç ayli and Murat Ko ç yigit, is right at the intersection of art and technology.
