Vilhelm Wohlert’s pared-down mid-century pieces have become iconic works in the design evolution of furniture for public spaces. Stellar Works’ Wohlert collection comprises of some of his most celebrated designs from the 1950s, revitalised for the modern day. Created by the Danish designer Mads Johnson, The Stockholm series has become one of his contemporary signature pieces.  When Mads was just a kid growing up in a small town in Denmark, he carved and created a myriad of items from wood.  This early exploration led to his passion to create new items from wood.  It is not tough to believe that his earliest jobs were as a cabinet maker and carpenter.  After studying in Helsinki, Dallas, Munich, and Oslo, Mads started in his creation of furniture.  He designed this stunning series in 2009.

The Silvy Stool is a versatile contemporary bar or counter stool made by the Italian factory Midj.  The Silvy series comes in a variety of forms ranging from two sizes of side chairs to armchairs and stools.  The Silvy Stool is available in two different heights (counter or bar).  The seat and back are completely covered with your choice of fabric or leather.  Additional padding is added into the back of the hide version to give the chair more comfort and a special aesthetic.  The legs are in tubular steel with a painted or polished chrome finish.
