Description
With the majority of our time spent in either Southern California or Hawaii we’re fortunate to enjoy relatively mild weather year round. However, even with a moderate seasonal change it’s easy to find oneself playing a game of getup guesswork… stuck with the uncertainty of knowing one layer won’t cut it but a proper jacket will leave you overheating when the sun breaks through the clouds.
Our intent in designing the Pono was to create a functional second layer that can dress up any look. Taking style cues from work wear worn on the Hawaiian sugar plantations of the 1800’s we added one chest pocket and two lower-front pockets to provide storage and easy access to one’s daily essentials.
As a part of our AW18 collection the Pono is available in a lightweight 100% Cotton Ripstop in two colorways. Cut and sewn in downtown Los Angeles California.

About the name:
The Hawaiian word Pono is often translated to english as righteousness.  It is a central component of Aloha and carries strong cultural and spiritual connotations of "a state of harmony or balance and a feeling of contentment when all is good and right."
