A rectangular steel sledge base (with the option for stacking) denotes this model of 3D Dining Chair from Denmark's Gubi. Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen of Copenhagen's Komplot Design offer their update of the molded shell seating in either ultra-slim wood veneer or injection-molded HiRek, a next-level, partially recycled plastic material. Ergonomically shaped for long-sitting comfort and with its all edges pointing away from the user, the chair's lightness and subtle refinement has won wide recognition, including permanent placement in NYC's Museum of Modern Art (MoMA).
