Description

With varied metal lampshades stemming from a central pole, Statistocrat is based on a prototype by Dutch conceptual artist Joep van Lieshout, down to his signature raw weld finish. The LED fixture's differing elements also symbolize the artist's take on a city's bureaucratic bungle of data and statistics. Available in an astounding 25 matte-finish colors, the aluminum construction is Joep's second rapid collaboration with Moooi, following his Liberty Lounger (also at A+R). “I don't like very long processes," he says. "A piece of furniture should come from the heart and then you smash it into the world."
