Luzern’s Mulberry Silk Face Mask is one of those products that just floored us with its perfection. When our team first opened our box of these, we thought, “Silk face masks? That’s a good idea. Let’s give it a go.” But soon, we realized — just as we did with silk pillowcases — that once you switch to silk, you can’t switch back. You just can’t.
Especially when it’s this silk: double-layered and tightly woven mulberry silk, turned into a mask with adjustable ear loops, an adjustable nose band (so you aren’t constantly pushing your mask up), and the perfect fit around the chin.
What makes silk the perfect material for a face mask is what also makes it the perfect material for a pillowcase: it won’t sop up your skincare products and dry out your skin. Super-soft, breathable silk is also hypoallergenic, making it perfect for sensitive skin. The mask is available in two colors: navy and white. They can be purchased individually or as a pair. (When purchased as a pair, they come in a soft Luzern pouch, which is perfect for tucking them away.)
We still adore our Aplat masks : we use those when we want a mask that we can easily slip a filter into, or we want something that will wrap around our heads for exercise or all-day wear, or we need something that is virtually indestructible. But Luzern’s delicate Face Mask feels so soft, light, and cool on the skin that it’s the one we choose when we want to feel like our mask is barely there.
