The Kokke Easy Chair was designed by Ruud-Jan Kokke in 1987. In the design, Kokke plays with the boundaries of craft, technology, and material. The manually assembled oak frame of the armchair is equipped with springy ash slats in the seat and back. The light construction is strong and also provides surprisingly much comfort. The model is included in various museum collections, including that of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Museum for Angewandte Art in Cologne and the Design Museum in Copenhagen. The armchair is available in natural oak or stained in whitewash, clay or black.
