We designed this one-of-a-kind Milo Baughman Lucite Slab Lounge Chair in collaboration with Stevie Howell Studio. Stevie Howell is an LA-based painter, printmaker, and designer. From her newly launched collection of fabrics, we chose her "Brambles" design. Stevie's creative process is very unique. Each design begins as an original artwork that is then printed on Belgium linen. An ivory cowhide welt as well as a bolster pillow add a lil Forsyth touch.

Lucite Slab Lounge Chair In "brambles"

Part of our Forsyth x St. Frank collection. This bespoke ottoman is perfect for a variety of uses - ottoman, coffee table, bench at the end of a bed, etc. Handmade by master iron craftsmen and our dedicated upholstery team, the welded steel legs are the perfect base. This example shows St. Frank's Terracotta Classic Kuba Cloth with metal legs.
From St. Frank | This upholstery fabric is inspired by Kuba cloth, a unique textile featuring complex designs that are created when various geometric raffia pieces are stitched to a plain raffia background. The resulting rough surface is punctuated by repeated geometric patterns with unexpected interruptions in design. Men cultivate the raffia palm and weave the raffia cloth; women then create the patterned textiles. Traditionally, Kuba cloth was used as a wrapped skirt worn during burials. Later, it was incorporated in ceremonial dress for ritual dances and other celebrations.

We love this heritage brand built on the foundation of producing long-lasting, American-made furniture. Today, their master craftsmen are still producing pieces from the strong as hell hickory saplings the old-school way with an incredible attention to detail and joining parts with the old-world mortise and tenon method.
We chose pieces from their new Butte collection. The chairs and benches are traditional and rustic in their upbringing, but the straight, simple lines of the solid hickory create a modern, cool look. We added cushions of incredibly soft sheepskin. These special sheepskins are from California. They are unique and celebrated for their natural quality and authenticity. For a chic design accent, we added straps handcrafted of supple buffalo leather from ultra chic, luxury Italian label Loro Piana. Sure, these pieces would easily fit into any Mountain chalet but how chic and cozy would it look in a Manhattan loft. #ChairsWeLove

This example shows St. Frank's Ecru Cactus Silk with white painted metal legs.
From St. Frank | Considered one of the most significant textiles of the African subcontinent, kente cloth was historically made from silk, reserved for chiefs and kings, and worn as festive dress on special occasions, such as a gathering of elders or the inauguration of new royalty. To create kente cloth, individual textiles are woven, cut up, and sewn together in elaborate patchwork patterns. The word kente is derived from kenten - the word for basket in the Twi language of the Ghana-Togo mountains _ because of the resemblance between the woven patchwork textile and the region's baskets. In addition to being worn on special occasions, kente cloth has traditionally appeared in other prominent ceremonial objects, including drums, shields, fans, and umbrellas. This style of kente cloth comes from the Ewe people of Togo and Ghana.

Our master upholsterers went down to the bones of the chair, removing all old foam and replacing with new foam. Luxurious down feathers generously fill the back and seat cushions. Our designers chose beautiful Loro Piana alpaca wool for upholstery.
Why We Love This Material | This beautiful fabric is the pinnacle of luxury. We love the long fibers that mimic the look of a natural hair on hide. And the alpaca wool blend is just as soft as cashmere. This colorway, the light grey, resembles that of a very fine Italian-made men's suit. Check out this sofa and these pair of chairs we also restored in the same material.

This over 7-foot long antique Swedish bench has such a distinct presence. We wanted to give the aged painted wood patina a punch, so we restored in the cult-favorite Pierre Frey Venimeuses fabric for the back bordered with a double welt of Loro Piana linen. The neutral but luxurious Loro Piana linen is also on the seat and armrests. Restoration included new foam in the back and seat. This sturdy bench will be the piece of furniture that everyone talks about in your beautiful space. Snakes on a bench!

Jacobsen originally designed the Egg chair in 1958 for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen, Denmark. Set on a steel rotating base, the Egg Chair allows sitters to swivel toward a conversation or away from others for more privacy. Barcelona Daybed With Zebra Hide Rug

Description

Charles and Ray Eames designed this lounge chair for The Museum of Modern Art’s 1948 “International Competition for Low-Cost Furniture Design.” Its name references both its function as well as Gaston Lachaise’s Floating Figure sculpture, whose shape the Eameses thought would fit the chair perfectly.
Comprised of two bonded fiberglass shells, a chromed base, and natural oak feet, the chair exhibits a captivating elegance and allows for a wide range of sitting and reclining positions.
The La Chaise was never sold during Charles and Ray’s lifetime, as it proved too costly to produce. It wasn’t until 1996 that long-time Eames partner, Vitra International, began manufacturing and distributing La Chaise in response to public interest and demand. Today, the chair serves as a long-established icon of organic design. It is available exclusively from Vitra.

The design of the Forsyth Editor’s Desk is based on an original copy editor's desk commonly used by newspaper and magazine editors. Back in the day , when copy editors at newspapers still worked with pencils and paper, copy desks were often horseshoe-shaped. Rank-and-file editors, also known as “rim men,” sat around the outside, while the editor sat in the “slot” or the center of the desk, so he could reach all the rim men to hand out stories. The unique shape allows for many design uses in your home – the perfect desk, a beautiful console or sofa table, a cool dining room buffet or bar.  An instant classic.

Handmade by our master iron and wood craftsmen, the handsome beveled, quarter sawn oak top balances perfectly with the welded iron base. A beautiful combination of hardwood and metal.
