Made of 100 percent recyclable polypropylene, the Molded Plastic Armchair Rocker Base’s subtle matte texture offers a soft tactility and notable durability and is available in five archival colors and numerous upholstery options.

Charles and Ray Eames realized their first successful, single-shell form in 1950 with the Molded Fiberglass Chairs. However, when the environmental risks associated with fiberglass production became more widely understood, the decision was made to switch to a safer plastic. In 2004, Herman Miller reintroduced the Molded Plastic Armchair Rocker Base in polypropylene.

The Molded Plastic series is available in Java, Charcoal, Stone, Alpine, Peacock Blue, Black, Sparrow, White, Red Orange and Aqua Sky.
