PK20™ is a relaxed and elegant lounge chair built upon a flexible matt chromed spring steel frame. The original idea for the chair was to use the excess leather strips from the production of other leather furniture to optimize production. But the idea was rejected because the leather strips were too different and currently only the finest leather strips are used. The PK20 version with a low back is part of the permanent collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

PK20™ is available in wicker or fully upholstered in a limited range of leathers. The leather version features a high back and matching leather headrest, while the wicker chair has a low back and is without a headrest. The base is made of matt chromed spring steel. Online options include upholstery in Aura or Grace leather in black or walnut or woven in wicker. For custom options please contact us directly for details.

Aura Leather: chrome-tanned, top-coated, strong full-grain and durable surface

Grace Leather: vegetable and chrome tanned, aniline, full-grain with light structure and light impregnation, becomes lighter and patinated with use, contains visible natural markings

Wicker: Wicker is a completely natural and very durable material that develops a beautiful patina over the years. It is derived from the cores of Rattan stalks (a member of the Palm family) and is very homogenous in its quality and appearance. All the wicker seats and backrests on Poul Kjærholm furniture from Republic of Fritz Hansen™ are hand woven. If a wicker seat or rest wears out or is damaged, it can be easily repaired and restored to its original state.
