Inspired by the ubiquitous motel chair from the 1940s, Pliny the Lounger is a timely update on this classic. Designed and manufactured by Loll Designs with Sielaff Corporation using sustainable materials, a stainless steel frame is married to the Loll recycled and recyclable high density polyethylene. Pliny features an elegantly mandrel bent 1 inch tubular stainless steel frame with poly seat and back. The welded tube frame has no open ends and is a one piece construction that will last a lifetime. The Pliny has that classic bouncy feel that brings one back to a moment in their familiar past, but clearly the chair is rooted in the present. The Pliny is the recipient of a Good Design Award as awarded by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design.
