The Lounge Chair builds on The Dining Chair’s and High Stool’s beautifully fluid, sculptural and archetypal character. The backrest and seat are larger and generously rounded for a heightened sense of comfort. The seat and backrest are upholstered in a soft, durable leather from Sorensen Leather and is fully supportive and comfortable so that it outweighs the need for armrests. The collection is available in solid oak or beech wood in black stained lacquered, sirka grey or natural matt lacquered oak. The wood is sustainably sourced from well-managed forests to support the UN Sustainable Development Goals of protecting “Life on Land” (SDGs 15), “Responsible Consumption and Production” (SDGs 12) and “Partnership for the Goals” (SDGs 17).

As a new graduate from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 1955, Jorgen Rasmussen started his own studio together with his twin brother Ib. With a keen eye for functionality and simplicity, Jorgen also proved to be an excellent designer, with the KEVI chair as his masterpiece. An extension of the existing Herman chair series, this beautiful lounge chair is crafted from oak veneer set on a powder coated metal base. The low design features a generous oval base and a gently undulating backrest that wraps around the body for maximum sitting comfort.

The FJ 53 is an extravagant piece of furniture. It integrates the lightness and elegance of a wooden chair with an upholstered corpus, to embrace the body with genuine comfort. Finn Juhl's characteristic design feature of separating the carrying elements from the carried is also at play in the FJ 53. However, this time the separation is achieved via more sophisticated means to add-in the aforementioned lightness and elegance. The rear legs, completely free from upholstery, protrude from the floor. In a single, unbroken motion they change direction and expand into an organically shaped armrest, almost animalistic in nature. The armrest wraps around the upholstery as if it is levitating, to arrive in a smooth and upwards point, begging to be touched. The delicate transitions from the rounded to the sharp elements will help stimulate the senses, all the while painting a beautiful portrait of the wooden grain. It culminates in an explosion of the senses, but as usual, Finn Juhl manages to fulfill the practical and functional needs that are required of furniture. This combination brings meaning to each shape and expression, such that it spoils the user with comfort from a lost time. Finn Juhl originally designed the 53-series for master joiner Niels Vodder. It was introduced at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition later that year. FJ 53 has always been one of Finn Juhl's most popular and sought-after pieces. It was originally produced in teak and rosewood, which are no longer available. Today, the vintage versions command exceptionally high prices at auctions all over the world.

Leather is handmade by skilled craftsmen using 100 % vegetable tanned aniline leather with a general thickness of 3 mm or more. Natural imperfections on leather surface must be accepted. With time, light and use, the leather will gain depth and lustre as it ages. Due to the highly artisan process used and variation in the natural raw material, leather can vary quite significantly in colour between production batches. The Frame is made from stainless steel or powder coated steel. Protective gliders must be fixed on the legs/feet of the chair.

The Locus Bowl is a modern design inspired by traditional stone carving techniques. A decorative bowl, elegantly proportioned and exceptionally crafted with grooves around the outer edge as a graphic expression of the stone carving process. With the choice of travertine, Locus embodies Danish designer Sofie Osterby's intuitive approach to balancing material presence and shape. Travertine is a material native to Italy, used in classical architecture for centuries. Interestingly, travertine used to havea counterpart in Denmark. The natural limestone that was mined in the Faxe area south of Copenhagen is similar in appearance and composition to travertine, which makes it familiar in a Nordic design context as well. Locus is crafted in raw Italian travertine, where the natural, irregular surface is kept intact to hightlight the innate beauty of the material properties, boasting unique textures and tonalities that will vary from piece to piece. In collaboration with Børge Mogensen's family, Carl Hansen&Son has given life to the furniture designer's forgotten drawings. The result is an expandable shelving system that can be rebuilt, built on and adapted to individual storage needs and changing room sizes.

The flexible and multifunctional shelving system is the embodiment of simplicity with its veneered shelves of varying sizes and a wooden cabinet, all of which can be assembled using a frame made of cylindrical metal bars of different lengths. The shelves and cabinet module can be combined according to your needs, and the blend of open and closed modules creates a rhythmic and transparent expression.

By Lassen is now relaunching Flemming Lassen's sofa design from 1935, naming it Vilhelm in honour of Flemming Lassen's father, the sign writer Hans Vilhelm Lassen. Vilhelm is a beautiful padded three-seater with the soft curves and taut expression that are typical of Flemming Lassen's design expression. The Danish architect and designer mastered the balance between the minimalist and the voluminous in designs that challenged conventions. A visionary modernist, Flemming Lassen created architecture and furniture that was ahead of their time.
The rounded corners frame the sofa perfectly and make it possible to place the sofa in the middle of a room. The shape invites flow and life to unfold around the sofa, and the stylish gentleman strikes a handsome figure, also when seen from the back. The back and armrest are tufted with a total of 24 little buttons, a beautiful and unpretentious detail that only makes the sofa more charming.
DENMARK'S MOST EXPENSIVE SOFA ON AUCTION The sofa was designed and put into production the same year as Flemming Lassen's iconic easy chair The Tired Man, which holds the record as the most expensive easy chair ever sold at auction in Denmark. The sofa accepted the challenge, and in 2018, it fetched DKK 610,000, making it the most expensive sofa ever sold at a Danish auction. There is considerable interest in Flemming Lassen's design, both in Denmark and abroad. All over the world, design enthusiasts keep a close lookout for works by the Danish architect and designer, and his furniture is extremely highly rated.
Vilhelm has won the prestigious award the German Design Award 2021 in the category: Excellent Product Design.
