The Danish designer Simon Legald has designed a sophisticated range of lamps called Amp for Normann Copenhagen. The range consists of one table lamp and two pendant lamps. Amp is characterized by its high-quality materials of glass and marble that add a visual fragility and sensuous heaviness. Amp has a nostalgic and at the same time contemporary feel.
The idea for the lamp's shape came when the designer was restoring an old 60's radio at home. While searching for spare parts for the radio, he was captivated by the glow that emits from the tube amplifier. The simple oval shape and the glow of the bulb is an obvious reference to this, just as the name Amp refers to the English term; tube amplifier . The proportions for each lamp have been carefully designed. For example, the marble sockets of the two pendant lamps are smaller than the marble base of the table lamp to emphasize their different functions.
The designer has visually highlighted the essential details, such as the way the shade rests on the socket. By combining the two natural materials, an exciting contrast between the transparent, light glass and the solid, heavy marble is created. The decorative bulb emits a stunning glow though the either gold or smoke colored glass lampshades. The lamp is available with a socket or base in impactful black marble or striking jade green, emphasizing the natural colorful elegance of the material.

The Amp Lamps come with matching textile cord, and dimmer switches for the table lamp. The shades can easily be removed when changing bulbs.

Combining the classic and the modern, the maritime and the industrial, it is a new pendant developed by Space Copenhagen for &tradition. Following the success‚ of their first collaboration, the Fly Lounge Series, &tradition have worked with Space Copenhagen again to produce a pendant range in matte lacquered metal, one of Space Copenhagen's first lights to enter production. The shade is spun into shape from a single piece of metal and matte lacquered. The suspension is made from milled and laser cut steel which undergoes a special plating process to produce the desired matte finish to compliment the shade. Masonville 1 Light Pendant

Poul Henningsen designed the three-shade system used in the PH lighting series during 1925/1926. The first lights using the system were designed for an exhibition in Paris. The 3½/3 pendant is a member of the three-shade family and is one of 19 versions available today. Approximately one thousand different models have been produced over the years and consisted of table, floor and wall lamps, as well as a number of different chandeliers, which were very popular in the 30s for lighting private homes with high ceilings. Henningsen was the first person to pursue a scientific approach to light and use the logarithmic spiral as a basis, which results in an even distribution of light over the entire curve of the shade.

Poul Henningsen's work with Louis Poulsen continued until his death in 1967. Throughout his life, PH sought to create glare-free lighting; aiming to direct light where it was most needed and creating soft shadows while using incandescent bulbs as a light source.

The PH 3½/3 Pendant is available in Red, Green, Yellow or White powder-coated aluminum. The shade is made of deep drawn aluminum with suspension system in matte brown copper. The canopy is white with a 144" white PVC cord. Certified cULus. Bulb is not included.
