When traveling cities such as Paris, Barcelona and New York, NORM Architects Kasper Ronn and Jonas Bjerre-Poulsen were fascinated by the street lamps; the characteristic cast iron top - looking a bit like a hat - with a semi transparent glass sphere at the base. Back in the studio Kasper and Jonas detached the street lamps from its original use and transferred the shape and combination of materials in order to design an outstanding, indoor pendant - the Mass Light. The pendant is made of lacquered brass or copper and opal glass as the two architects were keen on creating a lamp, which can withstand everyday use. The pendant is also available as a chandelier version to illuminate big areas and fulfill a wide variety of use. The shape of Mass Light is bold, strong and masculine. Yet feminine curves soften the expression. The well-known shape lets you focus on the beauty of its aesthetic structures and warm colors. Please Note: the bulb is not included.

A slim opening in the top of the shade provides soft, ambient upward illumination. The shade pivots, rotates, and slides on the vertical stem to optimize light distribution. The Swedish designer Jonas Wagell initially designed The Peek lamp as a floor lamp to accompany a sofa he did a few years ago. The design is simplistic, humble and somewhat quirky. He explains, "I find that floor lamps are often big and quite dominant in interiors. I needed a lamp which was small and humble and simply "popped up" where you needed some light. The Peek lamp has a heavy base with a long slender stem and a shade, which gracefully peeks over The back of a sofa or armchair." The shape and silhouette of The Peek table lamp is The same as a floor lamp, only The proportions have shrunk. Use The lamp as a reading light, as your new best friend on your desk or as The last thing you see before you close your eyes at night. The base has a concave top creating a bowl for essential stationery, earplugs, jewelry or other small items and The tip of The stem functions as a dimmer. Jonas Wagell on The design: "Although The form derives from a functional requirement I believe it's important that The lamp has personality and an expression. Founded in 1885 in London’s West India Docks, Davey & Co’s marine lighting and hardware graced many of history’s best-known vessels. As Britain’s maritime heyday faded, Davey & Co used the skills honed manufacturing deck lights, saloon and navigation lanterns to launch Davey Lighting. Davey’s hand-made fixtures were snapped up by the world of architecture and design, taking pride of place in locations such as the Savoy Hotel.

Deviating from the typical bug-like designs of Serge Mouille, this lighted column brings new dimension to the designer’s family of products. Through the combination of incandescent and fluorescent lighting, the column emits an understated yet dramatic effect as the light emerges in slices through the slits in the surface.
A thin, shaped, sheet of brushed or anodized aluminum composes the four elements of the upper part.
True to Serge Mouille's original production philosophy, each piece is made entirely by hand in France using the original forms, molds and techniques created by Mouille nearly 70 years ago. Each piece is stamped and numbered. Only 600 pieces are produced each year at the Mouille factory and distributed around the world.
