Parasol Sconce

The glassmaker’s craft of using an “optic mold” to create desired interior textures and designs was invented by Roman glassworkers and flourished in Venice in the Middle Ages. Using this ancient “optic” technique, we house a glass bulb in a hand-blown oval diffuser. This diffuser is perfectly clear on the outside with a wavy horizontal pattern worked in its bulb-facing side. If you're trying to add lighting to your space while keeping a minimal look, this is our 16" swing lamp. Available in natural brass or several inspired powder-coated colors. One of our earliest original designs, that we have only improved over time with new colors and options.
Hand made out of steel and coated in a durable powder-coat finish. Brass or polished nickel swivel and fittings. Available with coated steel or solid wood wall bracket.
Swings 180 degrees on wall. Socket swivels 90 degrees vertically and 360 degrees side-to-side. 72" long cloth-covered cord with wall plug and on-off switch.

The custom-made Ava Wall Sconce has a black walnut back plate, a brass arm, and a hand sewn leather shade. The brass arm articulates to fulfill many different lighting needs. It can provide up lighting or down lighting and can move from left to right. The swivel bar tightens the joint to keep it in place. The Hardwired version has a slightly wider back plate to cover a electrical junction box. The arm and shade design is the same as the plug in version of the Ava Wall Sconce.
For use with LED BULB ONLY. LED bulbs not only use less energy but also give off less heat. Leather will dry out when exposed to excessive heat. We suggest using a 600 lumen (40 watt equivalent) LED bulb with each light.

Do not use chemical cleaning products. Take care when spraying chemicals or cleaning agents near the fixtures, as any contact could significantly alter the normal aging process of the finish. Metal components can be cleaned using a soft, dry dust cloth. If you have purchased one of our fixtures in a living finish, such as Hewn Brass, it’s important to understand that continued patination is normal and should be expected. When moving, installing, or adjusting such fixtures, gloves should be worn to protect the finish from fingerprints which will darken over time.
